PM hails SIFC role in promoting foreign investment


The tenth meeting of Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council was held in Islamabad today to review various initiatives and projects.

The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and attended by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Federal Cabinet, Provincial Chief Ministers and high level government officials.

The Committee exhibited profound satisfaction on the overall progress achieved so far.

The Committee reviewed the progress on on-going economic collaboration with friendly countries.

The Committee also reviewed the progress on privatization of State-Owned-Enterprises and urged timely accomplishment of various privatization milestones.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister appreciated the role of SIFC for steering the investment and privatization drive in a befitting manner.

The Chief of the Army Staff reassured the firm resolve of Pakistan Army to backstop Government’s initiatives for economic prosperity of the country and socio-economic well-be
ing of its people.
