Islamabad: Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, has emphasized the importance of strengthening the economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. During a business forum hosted in Islamabad, the ambassador highlighted Uzbekistan’s view of Pakistan as a true partner, underscoring the need to enhance the current trade volume between the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Tukhtaev also spoke about the strategic importance of Pakistan, describing it as a vital partner and a gateway to South Asia. In a significant announcement, he declared the launch of Uzbekistan Airways’ direct flight from Islamabad to Tashkent, commencing from the fourteenth of the next month.
