US may not cut USD700 mn aid – Alfalah Securities Limited

Karachi: US House-Senate negotiating panel would not cut USD 700 mn as civil aid to Pakistan however the Defence Authorization Bill is yet to be finalized.

According to Alfalah Securities Limited, a US official has stated that the Defence Department would provide strategies to the government and work with them accordingly for proper utilization of the military aid.

Pakistan would also be sought assurances of fighting the spread of improvised explosive devices in the region. Home-made bombs or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) are among militants’ most effective weapons against US and coalition troops in Afghanistan as they struggle to fight against Talibans.
