UN, OIC asked to probe deadly massacres n IOK

Srinagar, January 17, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has appealed to the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and international human rights organizations to conduct investigation into the deadly massacres carried out by Indian troops in the territory including those of Gowkadal, Handwara and Kupwara. Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, deplored the silence of the international community over such barbaric acts.

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference in a statement in Srinagar called upon India and Pakistan to find out a just and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute for peace and stability in South Asia. The Hurriyet stressed the need for inclusion of real Kashmiri leadership in the talks on Kashmir. Hurriyet leaders Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, Bilal Siddiqi and Syed Bashir Andrabi in their joint statement rejected the assertions made by Indian External Affairs Ministry and said that India would never succeed in changing the facts on Kashmir through false propaganda.

Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Vikas Swarup in a recent statement had said that the entire erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir was part of India. Hurriyet leaders Zafar Akbar Butt and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while talking to people during their visits to different areas of Kashmir said that India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments through use of brute force against peaceful protesters.
