Transfer of Management of Federal Lodges/Hostels to Estate Offices

Islamabad, November 05, 2012 (PPI-OT): It has been notified by the Housing Ministry that the Prime Minister has approved the distribution of work between Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Works. Under this notification (Notification No. 12(26)2012) the management of federal lodges/ hostels at Islamabad/ Rawalpindi/ Lahore/ Karachi/ Quetta/ Peshawar etc is allocated to the Housing Division (Estate Offices).

It has been mentioned in the notification that overall control of these accommodations shall rest with the Housing Division while the administrative control, allotment, recovery of rent, ejectment and allied matters shall henceforth be carried out by the Officers-Incharge in Estate Offices.

From now onwards the officers in charge in the Estate Offices at respective stations shall take necessary steps for smooth disposals of day to day business of Federal Lodges/ Hostels and handle with the service matters of the employees of federal lodges/ Hostels forthwith. The relevant record is hereby stands transferred from Pak PWD to the respective Estate Offices.
