Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Monday arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in kidnapping for ransom cases besides apprehending eleven other outlaws in possession of wine bottles, pistols and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik assigned the task to all Station House Officers for effective action against the criminal elements. Following these directions, SHO Shehzad town police station Inspector Muhammad Younus Gujjar and ASI Suleman Shah along with police team arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in various kidnapping for ransom cases.
They were arrested in possession of illegal weapons during raid at their hide out and had been identified as Ramzan, Asghar Ali, Subah Sadiq, Abid Ali, Khizar Hyat and Raja Shaheen. Further investigation is underway from them.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Asghar Ali from Ramna police station nabbed a bootlegger Malik Imran and recovered 22 wine bottles from his possession. Sub-Inspector Hakim Khan from Aabpara police nabbed Rizwan Ali for possessing two wine bottles while Izhar ul Islam and Adnan Abbass were apprehended by Bhara Kau police in possession of two wine bottles and dagger respectively.
Kohsar police apprehended Mumtaz Ali for having four wine bottles while Tarnol and Sabzi Mandi police arrested Kamal, Asim Abbass and Ali Raza for having one 30 bore pistol each. ASI Aurangzeb from Sihala police nabbed a pickpocket and recovered looted money Rs. 4135 from his possession.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik have appreciated this performance and directed to intensify efforts against anti-social elements.
