Srinagar, August 11, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Rajouri district, today, to express their solidarity with their brethren in the Valley over the killings of civilians during the ongoing Kashmir Intifada. Call for the strike was given by various Muslim organizations and religious heads of the Muslim community.
The organizations, which gave the call for the shutdown included the Muslim Welfare Front, Tehreek-e Ghulamaian Mustafa (TFM) and Ulemas, led by Moulvi Ghulam Rasool. Meanwhile, residents of Thanamandi staged an anti-India protest demonstration against the killings.
Protesters demanded immediate end to use of force against the civilians, including use of bullets and pellet guns. They and expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased and those injured due to use of pellet guns. Protesters asked India to immediately stop the use of bullets and pellets on peaceful protesters.
