Lahore, November 19, 2017 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shehbaz in his message on International Child Rights Day said that the children are our future as well as most cherished asset. He said that they should be treated with love and compassion as today’s children are tomorrow’s architects and if they are given proper education and training from childhood, it will promote self-confidence in them, he shared. CM said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to promote awareness about the rights of children as it is collective responsibility of the society to ensure protection of the rights of children.
He said that welfare and betterment of children demand a strong partnership between public and private sector. Furthermore he added that the Punjab government has taken comprehensive measures to eliminate the curse of Child Labour. The children working on the brick kilns were admitted to the schools and innocent hands filled with mud were replaced with pen and books. He said that at International Child Right Day we need to make resolution that all sections of society will assume compelling part in ensuring the privileges of kids in Pakistan.
