Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Rahim Dad Khan has directed Irrigation Department that all ongoing schemes and projects must be completed within the time. There will be no funds problem for the completion of these projects.
He was addressing a high level meeting regarding irrigation Department held in Peshawar on Monday. Secretary Irrigation Sajid Jadoon, Chief Engineer South and North Zone of the Province, Director General Flood and Small Dames and other officials were also present in the meeting.
After taking additional charge of Irrigation Department, Rahim Dad Khan has received detailed briefing from the concern officials about the Department structure, function, work and its ongoing projects and schemes.
In briefing Senior Minister has come to know that 5 million rupees has been allocated for construction of Dame in South Zone of the province but funds has been released yet. About ongoing schemes official said that work on 35 schemes are in process and will be completed in 2012.
Senior Minister Rahim Dad Khan said that all steps will be taken to bring prosperity in the Province. For the betterment of Agriculture, it was the need of time to become Irrigation Department stronger, he added.
