Lahore, March 31, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 31000 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 26900 cusecs and Outflows 26900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 49300 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 27500 cusecs and Outflows 19100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 46600 cusecs and Outflows 44600 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 41400 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 31500 cusecs and Outflows 31500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 2400 cusecs and Outflows 2400 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 22200 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 17300 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 2500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1386.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.074 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1076.90 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.267 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.70 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.050 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
