Lahore, March 19, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 16000 cusecs and Outflows 16200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 4700 cusecs and Outflows 4700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15600 cusecs and Outflows 16300 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11000 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 27100 cusecs and Outflows 24100 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 23500 cusecs and Outflows 20300 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 22000 cusecs and Outflows 21000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3100 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 27800 cusecs and Outflows 25400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 22400 cusecs and Outflows 3100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.38 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.004 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1047.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.085 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
