Lahore, November 08, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 28100 cusecs and Outflows 50000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 3600 cusecs and Outflows 3600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 6200 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8500 cusecs and Outflows 2000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 57700 cusecs and Outflows 52200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 46400 cusecs and Outflows 44000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 40300 cusecs and Outflows 39800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11100 cusecs and Outflows 4100 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 37300 cusecs and Outflows 31000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 31300 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 6500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1473.09 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.352 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1172.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.940 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.093 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
