Lahore, October 08, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 46600 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6600 cusecs and Outflows 6600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 9300 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18400 cusecs and Outflows 3600 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 91600 cusecs and Outflows 84100 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 79700 cusecs and Outflows 79100 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 72700 cusecs and Outflows 58800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 12100 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 59800 cusecs and Outflows 46800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 49700 cusecs and Outflows 11000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 10300 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1490.95 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.125 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1192.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.973 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
