Lahore, August 02, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 340300 cusecs and Outflows 312700 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 50100 cusecs and Outflows 50100 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 45300 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 126600 cusecs and Outflows 98800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 376900 cusecs and Outflows 368900 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 387700 cusecs and Outflows 389400 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 277800 cusecs and Outflows 255500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 28300 cusecs and Outflows 13200 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 233500 cusecs and Outflows 197200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 191900 cusecs and Outflows 136500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 127200 cusecs and Outflows 88400.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1533.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.218 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1226.75 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.228 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.180 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
