Religious Scholars Pledge Support to Government for Peace Initiatives

Islamabad: Religious scholars and Ulema have announced their complete support for the state's positive initiatives aimed at promoting peace, harmony, social stability, and national security in the country. This resolve was expressed during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad today under the chairmanship of Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ulema and Mashaikh also expressed their unwavering support for the Armed Forces of Pakistan in their efforts to maintain peace, stability, and national unity. They reaffirmed their commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution and the stability of state institutions. The scholars emphasized their complete solidarity with the government and security forces against terrorism, extremism, and subversive activities.

During the meeting, the Ulema paid tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces, acknowledging that the entire nation is indebted to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and Ghazis. They urged scholars from all schools of thought to promote national unity and harmony, reinforcing the importance of collective efforts towards maintaining peace and security in the country.
