Punjab team of Karate takes honour of winning main 3 categories on first day of championship

Lahore, June 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Punjab team of Karate took the honour of winning the main 3 categories on the first day of the championship here on Tuesday. The championship was held at Iqbal Park Sports Complex where the Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Dr. Mohammed Salah Tahir was the chief guest.

In 35 KG: Punjab’s Kazim Raza grabbed gold medal,Nazir of Sindh won silver ,Mubeen of KPK and Amir Khan of Fata attained bronze medals.In 50 Kg’s:Rehan Safdar of Punjab clutched gold,Rashid Ali of Sindh took silver,Bilal Khan of Fata and Aqib Javed of KPK hold bronze medals.In the Individual category: Nazir Ahmed of Sindh snatched the gold, Bilal Khan of Punjab shone with silver while Haris Habib of KPK managed to win Bronze.In the other “3 individuals category”: Punjab seized Gold,Sindh grasped Silver and KPK attained Bronze medals. These events will be continued till June 6,2013.
