Islamabad: Pakistan Stock Exchange achieved another milestone and surpassed a psychological barrier of one lac sixty-one thousand points for the first time in history during the trading today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the hundred index that closed at one lac fifty-nine thousand two hundred and eighty (159,280) points yesterday reached one lac sixty-one thousand six hundred seventy-seven (161,677), showing an increase of more than two thousand three hundred points in the hundred index.

The continued upward trend in the stock exchange reflects the increasing confidence of the trade and business community on the economic policies of the government.
