Srinagar, April 21, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, anti-India protest demonstrations were held in different areas of the territory against surge in human rights violations and killings by Indian troops in the territory. A peaceful protest demonstration organized by Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement was held at Press Enclave in Srinagar, today, against stepped-up state terrorism and human rights violations by India.
Senior party leaders and activists participated in the protest and raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Molvi Rafiq and Imtiyaz Ahmed led the protest demonstration. Activists of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHR also held protest demonstrations at Press Colony in Srinagar against the prevailing human rights violations in the territory. Holding placards against the killing of innocent Kashmiris the protesters raised pro-freedom slogans.
Talking to the media on the occasion, the IFJHR Chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo condemned the human rights violations and questioned the criminal silence being maintained by International community over human rights violations and killings in the territory. Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi was also part of the protest.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader Mukhtar Waza while addressing a function in Phalgam appealed people to get united for just cause and for freedom from Indian bondage. He asked India to shun intransigent attitude and pave the way for settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
