Islamabad: Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad. During the meeting, professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Navy and defense of Pakistan came under discussion.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President on the occasion appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in safeguarding the country's maritime frontiers.
