Islamabad: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has extended an invitation to Kuwait to invest in Pakistan's strategically located coastal and energy-logistics corridors. This initiative is part of Pakistan's broader strategy to enhance its maritime infrastructure and strengthen its position in regional trade and energy transit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the proposals were discussed during a meeting between Kuwait's Ambassador Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Al-Mutairi and Minister Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry in Islamabad. The discussions focused on potential investments that could bolster the maritime sector, which is crucial for Pakistan's economic growth and regional connectivity.

Junaid Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan is actively seeking international partnerships to modernize its maritime sector. Such collaborations are expected to play a pivotal role in increasing the country's participation in regional trade networks and energy transit routes, thus boosting economic prospects.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador expressed a keen interest in reviewing the proposed projects. He highlighted particular interest in initiatives related to the Energy City and the development of port-based fuel storage infrastructure. These projects are seen as significant opportunities for investment, aligning with Kuwait's interests in expanding its global energy logistics operations.
