Islamabad: Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan Maciej Pisarski met with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad today to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, focusing on expanding trade and investment ties, and exploring new avenues for collaboration between the two countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister informed the Ambassador about the ongoing rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas, highlighting that relief efforts involving ration, food, and medical supplies are being conducted at relief camps. He emphasized the severe impact of the floods and mentioned that a detailed damage assessment is being carried out to inform development and bilateral partners, recognizing that the rehabilitation process will be extensive.
The Finance Minister expressed appreciation for Polish investments in Pakistan and welcomed Poland’s interest in further expanding trade and investment. He highlighted potential collaborations in sectors such as oil and gas exploration, mineral and mining development, and initiatives aimed at knowledge transfer, information exchange, and experience sharing in strategic areas like public finance, tax policy, and regulatory frameworks.
The Ambassador conveyed that the Government of Poland is planning to send a high-level delegation, led by senior political figures, to Pakistan soon to further bilateral engagement. He expressed Poland’s eagerness to strengthen relations and expand trade and investment with Pakistan.
