Lahore, February 16, 2021 (PPI-OT): District Police Officer Sheikhupura Ghulam Mubashir Mekan has directed all tehsils of Sheikhupura to take immediate action against criminal and anti-social elements and those possessing illegal weapons with the aim of protecting lives and property of the people for improving the process of governance. While taking action in this regard, the teams of Factory Area Police Station and Ferozewala Police Station during various operations have arrested dangerous accused involved in other crimes including 4 wanted a category accused in serious incidents.
According to details, Factory Area Police arrested a three-member dangerous dacoit gang during a special operation. The accused include Ahsan, Aslam and an employee from whose possession three motorcycles, 17 mobile phones, 2 pistols of 30 bore and Rs 1.5 lakh cash were recovered. Likewise, in a second operation, seven gamblers namely Shahid, Amir, Ishtiaq, Asif, Asim, Sohail and Qasim were arrested and Rs 30,000 and six mobile phones were recovered from their possession. In the ongoing operation to nab the accused, Ferozwala police teams arrested four A-category accused Shakeel, Irfan, Tanveer and Ibrahim while recovered two pistols, 30 bores and several bullets from the accused named Adnan and Shakeel. In the operations under the Kite Flying Act, two accused Shehryar and Ali were arrested and kites and strings were recovered from their possession.
Teams from Factory Area Police Station recovered a rifle from a suspect named Talish while a pistol 30 bore and several bullets from Nadir in an ongoing intelligence-based operation to eradicate illegal weapons. In an action against drugs, 100 liter Alcohol was recovered from Khalid and Abdul Razzaq.
Cases have been registered against all the arrested accused under the relevant provisions and further legal action is being taken. DPO Sheikhupura Ghulam Mubashir Mekan appreciated SDPO Ferozwala Ghulam Dastagir Khan, SHO Factory Area Afzal Dogar and SHO Ferozwala Amir Mehboob and their team directed that action be taken against criminal elements for the protection of life and property of the people so that better service delivery could improve and make strong relationship between the police and the people.
