Karachi, August 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): In a meeting of FPCCI’s Central Committee on Women Entrepreneurs, the President FPCCI Mian Muhammad Adrees said that the current management of FPCCI believes on women empowerment in their rights of health, education, decision making, authority and respect. He further said that without economic empowerment women empowerment would not be possible.
The meeting was organized by Naheed Masood, Chairperson FPCCI’s Central Women Entrepreneurs which was also linked via video conferencing with FPCCI’s Islamabad and Lahore office. Mr. S. M. Muneer, Patron in Chief UBG, Ikram Rajput, Vice President and Incharge Sindh Region of FPCCI, Fehmida Jamali, Vice President FPCCI, Weseem Vohra, Vice President FPCCI, Waheed Shah, S. M. Naseer from FPCCI Lahore Office and Zafar Bakhtawari, Zakia, Samina Fazil along with large number of women entrepreneur all three offices of FPCCI attended the meeting.
While discussing the issues of business women the President FPCCI said that earlier there was single committee on Women Entrepreneur which was not sufficient and the current management felt the need of more committees in various sectors pertaining to women entrepreneur and today various women committees are working efficiently. There should not be any discrimination in gender in assigning jobs and authorities, he further added.
S M Muneer said that TDAP has approved subsidized visit of FPCCI’s Women trade delegation to Australia and said that he being the Chief Executive of TDAP will facilitate more trade delegation as per the norms of TDAP provided that women must be exporters. During the meeting the Chairperson of FPCCI’s Central Women Entrepreneur produced progress report of the committee and also asked the other committees of women from all over the country to submit their progress reports.
