Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that the entire nation stands united with the Pakistan Armed Forces in the defense of the country. He expressed these sentiments during a meeting with former Prime Minister and President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Nawaz Sharif, in Lahore on Sunday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister provided Nawaz Sharif with a comprehensive briefing on his recent visit to Malaysia. During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif conveyed the well wishes of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Nawaz Sharif. He emphasized that the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, particularly in terms of economic cooperation, are reaching new heights.
The discussion also covered the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Egypt, and included talks on the provocations from Afghanistan. The effective and decisive response of Pakistan’s armed forces to Afghanistan’s aggression was praised during the session.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who were present on the occasion to discuss these significant matters.
