Modi failed to address burning Kashmir dispute: KCSDS

Srinagar, February 06, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS) has said that Kashmir is not merely a territorial dispute but the question of the rights of the people of the territory. A KCSDS spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed to address the Kashmir dispute. The statement said, “Modi could not address the burning issue of bleeding Kashmir by offering a meaningful and result-oriented dialogue process but only reiterated BJP-RSS muscular, militaristic approach to a human issue.”

“Needless to say Kashmir is not merely a territorial dispute but the question of the rights of the people, snatched away by the Indian state. By offering lollypops in terms of so-called developmental projects, he cannot buy Kashmiris,” the statement read. If the Indian prime minister is interested in prosperous Kashmir, the only way to do so is to allow the Kashmiri people to have complete control over their resources, the KCSDS added.
