Karachi, February 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): Former Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza had crossed all limits and had used a very derogatory language against the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) especially the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. The allegations Mirza had levelled against PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari were a manifest of his personal grudges and were in contrast of political ideology that a true worker should carry along his entire life.
Sindh Minister for Information, Archives and Local Government Sharjeel Inaam Memon said this in a press conference he gave to the newsmen at the PPP Media Cell Sindh Tuesday. He was flanked by Senator Maula Bux Chandio, member national assembly (MNA) Kamal Chang, MNA Shahida Rehmani, Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, member provincial assembly (MPA) Mukesh Kumar Chawla, MPA Tariq Masood Arain and MPA Imdad Pitafi.
The Minister said there was nothing new in allegations as the PPP leadership had faced tremendous allegations and hardly any institution including the judiciary that did not ignore those allegations and carried investigations but failed to prove any of the allegations.
It was totally against tradition of Sindh that Dr Mirza had also levelled allegations against lady Faryal Talpur, who had played a vibrant role in solving issues of the people at the grass root level and for reorganizing the party.
He said he could also levy allegations against Dr Mirza but the party leadership had not taught us this but to show tolerance. All the efforts of Dr Mirza to defame the party and create division in the PPP had been fully exposed and failed.
Even the slain PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto was not spared and Zardari was kept in jails for 12 years without any proven charge. However, Dr Mirza had used very derogative and offensive language against Zardari, which was tantamount to stabbing in the back of one, who raised Dr Mirza from ground to apex of political and financial status, added the Minister.
He reminded Dr Mirza had himself admitted the clothes he worn were given to him by Zardari and the later had given 2 ticket to Dr Mirza’s family and from those 2 tickets, one was MPA and the other was MNA.
In addition, Dr Mirza had also levelled false allegations against a businessman, Anwar Majeed, who had after meeting all prevailing legal aspect, secured some sick units, which he managed to start working once again, Those sick units had incorporated hundreds of jobs and the provincial exchequer received huge sum of money in terms of taxes, explained the Minister.
It was very strange that Dr Mirza did not see any sign of irregularities and corruption till he was in Sindh Cabinet as Home Minister but now at the behest of unidentified certain elements he was venting his grudges against the PPP leadership and lawmakers, opined the Minister.
He was of the opinion that Dr Mirza had tried to dupe the people by posing he had the backing of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. However, the latest tweet of the PPP Chairman had flushed all of Dr Mirza’s claims. Bilawal’s message on Tweeter was a crystal clear direct message to Dr Mirza, people of district Badin and entire PPP.
In fact, Dr Mirza had ruined his position after levelling false allegations and his political career was thus no more, he claimed. He had bitterly violated the party discipline and because of his senseless moves, the PPP had also disowned him, said the Minister.
