Karachi, December 27, 2015 (PPI-OT): Mian Muhammad Adrees, President FPCCI said that the tax relief scheme which is to be announced by the Finance Minister Senator Ishaque Dar was a long awaited demand of the business community and now seems to be accomplished in the couple of days.
He said that the tax relief policy has been devised with the consent of business community who are the real tax payers. He also applauded the expected tax relief measures for business community to get enrolled with the tax authorities and avoid additional charges.
This scheme will bring a revolution in economy of Pakistan, he added. Mian Adrees further said that this is a special tax treatment which is an important measure for broadening the tax net by ensuring contribution in tax by the evaders. He further said that the some other countries also follow such schemes for enhancing their tax revenue.
The President FPCCI regretted the views of the Transparency International Pakistan advising the government to hold the proposed tax relief scheme. He advised those who are criticizing the scheme to study the scheme properly before opposing it.
He further said that the after implementation of tax relief scheme the income of the exchequer will be increased and it will also broaden the tax net as well. He further explained that this scheme will provide level playing field to the business community and the new investment will be flourished.
