Met Office Forecasts Persistent Heat and Humidity Across Regions

Islamabad: Hot and very humid weather is likely to persist in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, rain with wind and thundershowers are expected in upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls are also likely in northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir during the period.

According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature of major cities recorded this morning are as follows: Islamabad and Quetta stood at 23 degrees centigrade, Lahore at 30, Karachi at 28, Peshawar at 27, Gilgit at 21, Murree at 16, and Muzaffarabad at 24 degrees centigrade.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts partly cloudy weather with chances of rain and wind with thundershowers in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Leh is expected to experience partly cloudy and dry weather. Temperature recorded this morning in these areas are: Srinagar at 18 degrees centigrade, Jammu at 26, Leh at 10, Pulwama and Anantnag at 17, Shopian at 15, and Baramula at 19 degrees centigrade.
