Malik pays tributes to martyrs on anniversaries

Srinagar, April 07, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mohammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to Sheikh Tariq and Sajjad Hussain Shah on their martyrdom anniversaries.

The JKLF Chairman in a statement also remembered prominent journalist, Izhar Ahmad Wani on his death anniversary.

Recalling Sheikh Tariq‘s bravery and sacrifices for the freedom struggle, Muhammad Yasin Malik said that the martyr was unparallel in his courage, resistance and leadership. He was a pious Muslim, a firm believer and a dedicated solider and leader of resistance movement.

As regards Sajjad Hussain Shah, Malik termed him one of the pioneers of the freedom struggle. “Sajjad was a great cricketer and human being. He was full of passion and sacrificed his life for the freedom of Kashmir,” he added.

While remembering Izhar Ahmad Wani, Yasin Malik said that Izhar was a symbol of freedom of speech and ideas. Because of his talent, wisdom and humbleness, Izhar elevated to high position in journalism in young age, he said.

Meanwhile, a delegation of JKLF comprising advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Mohammad Zaman Mir and Mohammad Siddeeq Shah participated in a condolence meeting, held at Chanapora to memorise the martyred.

The leaders while expressing solidarity with his family reiterated the pledge to continue the sacred mission for which these great martyrs laid down their lives.
