Kundi hails approval of Rs5million for Gomal University by Prime Minister

Islamabad, July 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi has hailed the decision of approval of the grant of Rs. 05.00 million for the Gomal University, D.I.Khan.

In a statement issued today from Islamabad the Deputy Speaker informed that the three new faculties including Pakistan Study Center, Political Science Department and Saraiki Department have been established in Gomal University adding that this grant will be utilized for these faculties.

He said that this grant will be funded by the Higher Education Commission from its own budget of 2012-13. He expressed hope that initiatives like this, the people of D.I.Khan will get more education facilities.

He further stated that the said grant was approved by the former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at his personal request and effort.

Dy. Speaker said that the incumbent democratic government providing all necessary facilities to the masses on top priority basis and in this regard many steps have been taken for the welfare of the people of Pakistan.
