Srinagar, October 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik has said that Kashmiris will never forget the generosity of those who have and are coming to their rescue in the hour of need. While talking to the affected people at Kaka Road and Shaheed Gunj, today, after distributing relief goods among them, thankful Sikh brothers, Muslims from various parts of India and some voluntary organizations who sent relief goods for flood-hit people of Kashmir
On the occasion he said that the scale of destruction and mayhem caused by recent floods was such high that the people of Kashmir needed international support and aid to get out of the present worst situation. He said that international community, United Nations and OIC should fulfil their obligations regarding Kashmiris.
Yasin Malik said that the UN had a relief, rescue and rehabilitation cell for such times and whenever disasters hit any area, the international community, UN and OIC rush to help the affected people. He said that if international community failed to fulfil its duty and responsibility regarding Kashmiris, it would be termed as its criminal silence. Kashmiris are also human beings and need this humanitarian support, he added.
