Karachi, June 09, 2016 (PPI-OT): K-Electric Avoid Load shedding and Overbilling in Ramazan so that they can enjoy its blessings, said Muhammad Yameen Advisor to Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office during hearing of Appllications of citizens of Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony against Overbilling of K-Electric at Deputy Commissioner Malir’s Camp Office, GM K-Electric Maroof Solangi, Coordinator K-Electric Landhi Riyaz Ahmed, Coordinator Korangi Ehtasham Ul Haq, Coordinator of Malir Aqeel Muhammad and Manager Shah Faisal Colony Mujeeb Ur Rehman and PRO Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Behleem Builqees Jan were also present on this occasion. Muhammad Yameen said that due to awakening the awareness among people, number of applicants submitting applications is gradually increasing.
Citizen told on this occasion that they came to know through newspapers that authority of Federal Ombudsman is playing an important role for providing justice to the peoples. Applicant Naseer Ahmed told Federal Ombudsman that K-Electric workers does not catch thieves of power and make a cartel with them but excess bill is sent to them who honestly pay the bill, I am also sent a bill of 74,000 which is wrong. They request to Ombudsman Court to order for survey and checking load. Applicant Ehtesham Ul Haq told that He is upset about overbilling for 1 year, do justice with him.
Upon which Ombudsman Court issued the order to revise the bill. Applicant Naeemullah Qureshi told that his salary is only 12 thousand, there is no washing machine in his home, they wash clothes with hands in spite of it excess bill is sent whom he is unable to pay. Advisor to Federal Ombudsman Muhammad Yameen ordered to pay the bill in installments by eradicating overbilling. When applicant Faizan Ali made a complaint of overbilling then K-Electric representative replied that the bill is correct upon which Faizan Ali requested Ombudsman Court to make survey and eradicate the overbilling. At last Muhammad Yameen issued the order.
Hearing the application of Syed Ghayas Uddin and Tehzeeb Abbas, Muhammad Yameen said that their applications are no more able to be heard due to Time bar, they contact directly to the office, and they by themselves will solve this problem. Applicant Muhammad Ashraf when came to know that K-Electric’s representatives has come with the video of power theft, then he did not come to the Ombudsman Court.
