JKLF condemns crackdown on party activists

Srinagar, December 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned the ongoing crackdown on JKLF activists in north Kashmir’s Hajin town. Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that police were terrorizing the JKLF activists in Hajin, adding that their residences were being raided daily. He said that police were also prolonging the illegal detention of JKLF activist, Ashfaq Ahmad who was arrested on November 4, 2015 and is still languishing at Hajin police Chowki.

Mohammad Yasin Malik paid rich tributes to late Harday Nath Wanchoo, saying, “He strived hard for human rights of Kashmiris, provided legal aid to hundreds of Kashmiris and raised voice against human rights abuses. He was a noble hearted soul whose sacrifices will always be remembered.”
