Javed Ahmed Mir joins APHC

Srinagar, July 28 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, liberation leader, Javed Ahmad Mir, has formally joined the All Parties Hurriyet Conference.

The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, addressing a function at the Hurriyet headquarters in Srinagar welcomed Javed Ahmed Mir for joining the Hurriyet Conference. He said, APHC has always represented the real political and emotional aspirations of the Kashmiris.

Speaking on the occasion, Javed Ahmed Mir said that the APHC was a recognized forum representing the Kashmiris’ struggle on the international arena. He said that the APHC represented the true aspiration of the Kashmiris and was engaged in political and diplomatic efforts on global level to press for resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He said that in view of the prevailing political situation in the territory, Hurriyet Conference should be strengthened at all levels. He said that greater unity among the pro-freedom leadership was key to the success of the liberation struggle.

Meanwhile, soon after Javed Mir joined the APHC, Hurriyet leaders including Zafar Akbar Butt, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Hakim Abdul Rasheed, Abdul Majeed Banday, Shahid-ul-Islam, Syed Saleem Gilani, Moulvi Abdul Rasheed and Abdul Manan Bukhari welcomed his decision.
