Islamabad: A two-day International Conference on “Nuclear Deterrence in the Age of Emerging Technologies” was recently held at the Center for International Strategic Studies in Islamabad. The conference aimed to foster constructive dialogue on global strategic issues and to share Pakistan’s policy perspectives.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was the Chief Guest on the inaugural day. In his keynote address, he highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration in addressing the challenges posed by emerging technologies.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza emphasized the importance of reciprocal measures for nuclear risk reduction and maintaining a balance in the broader geostrategic framework to achieve peace and stability in South Asia. The forum was attended by prominent international scholars, further adding to the significance of the discussions held during the conference.
