Indian troops stab youth in Gulmarg

Srinagar, March 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops stabbed and critically injured a youth in Baramulla district after Pakistan defeated India in the ongoing Asia Cup being played in Bangladesh. The troops stabbed the youth Muhammad Younis Reshi inside a hotel in world famous health resort Gulmarg in the district.

As locals celebrated Pakistan’s victory, the troopers called Reshi in their room at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, beat him to pulp and stabbed him, injuring him seriously.

Reshi, a resident of Bhaderwah in Jammu division, has been working as an instructor in the institute. He was immediately rushed to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar. After the incident, police arrested five persons including three troopers, Havaldar Jitender Singh, N K Sonam and N K Hajari Lal and two civilians, Lakshman and Kuldip Singh.
