Srinagar, August 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, condemning the continued killing spree by Indian forces has said that a war-like situation has been created in the territory.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian forces killed four peaceful protesters in Aripanthan area of Budgam on Tuesday in vengeance of the killing of their colleague at Nowhatta in Srinagar and fabricated a story of attacking and snatching the rifles by the protestors.
The APHC Chairman strongly denounced the occupation authorities for not allowing the people to conduct the march towards the UN office on Wednesday. He said, curfew continues in the territory for the last over 40th day, 72 people have been killed, more than 8,000 people are injured, about 500 have lost their eye sight, 1500 people have been arrested and more than 100 slapped with draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and some have already been shifted to the jails outside the Valley. Media and telecommunication have been gagged, streets are deserted, hospitals are overcrowded and the bullets are still piercing the chests of our loved ones, he stated.
“Can anybody call this other than a war like situation? he asked. He maintained that current situation, siege and daily killings demanded an immediate and urgent attention by the world community especially the UN and this march was just a peaceful attempt to remind this organization that for how long it will act as a mute spectator.
Syed Ali Gilani pointed out that India’s stooges and collaborators only want to appease their masters even if it is at the cost of death and destruction of their own people. “We are being killed, brutalized, blinded and fractured and we only are being told to maintain peace. Those who commit these atrocities are being encouraged and garlanded as these puppets hold us hostage only with their help and support,” he added.
“I pay homage to these martyrs. I am a firm and staunch believer of the fact that sacrifices of our people will bear fruit and we will get rid of the worst kind of oppression and repression by India,” he added.
