Srinagar, December 31, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has strongly condemned the firing of Indian troops on civilians in Pulwama that had resulted in the injuring of several people on Friday.
Mukhtar Ahmed Waza in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the troops’ action as the worst kind of state terrorism. He said that India had given its forces a free hand to kill innocent people to suppress the ongoing liberation movement in the occupied territory.
Waza maintained that imposition of curfew, use of force, arrest of teenagers, and other repressive measures couldn’t stop the Kashmiris from continuing their just struggle. He maintained that New Delhi had failed to crush the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people despite exhausting all its resources.
The APHC leader said that the days of Indian occupation on Kashmir were numbered and the day was not far away when the Kashmiris would get rid of its bondage. He appealed to the international community to play an effective role in settling the Kashmir dispute without any further delay.
