Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan in his message on the eve of Iqbal Day has urged the people of Pakistan to make the poet’s dream of a strong and united Ummah true.
He said Allama Iqbal, a strong proponent of pan-Islamism, had the vision to foresee challenges the Muslim nation would be exposed to in post-colonial era as well as in the time afterwards.
The Governor said poetry of Iqbal not only warned the Muslim Ummah (nation) of the threats they were exposed to but also put forward solutions to the challenges they would had to face.
Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said the concepts of self-confidence and disregard for worldly charms explicitly raised by Iqbal in his work were the guiding principles for Muslims of present era to brave the present day challenges.
