Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Cabinet have appealed to the nation to offer special prayers on Friday for the transformation of the ceasefire into lasting peace, as well as for Pakistan's development and prosperity.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Federal Cabinet, which met in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, reaffirmed its strong commitment to work for the country's economic progress, describing Pakistan's diplomatic efforts and their global recognition as historic.
The Cabinet members stated that the region is swiftly heading towards lasting peace as a result of Pakistan's sincere efforts. They noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has elevated the nation's pride by persuading the concerned parties to agree to a ceasefire, despite an extremely tense and challenging environment.
The Federal Cabinet also commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts toward achieving a ceasefire and fostering peace in the region.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the federal cabinet on Pakistan's ongoing initiatives and efforts to resolve the ongoing tension and maintain the ceasefire in the Gulf.
