Lahore: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the importance of Iqbal’s poetry as a guiding beacon during his address at the Iqbal Conference 2025, organized by the Iqbal Academy Pakistan. He underscored the role of Allama Iqbal in nurturing the minds of a subjugated nation and inspiring the path to freedom.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the ongoing efforts to promote Iqbal’s thought globally. He announced plans to establish Iqbal Academies in all provinces of Pakistan and detailed arrangements to celebrate Allama Iqbal’s 150th birth anniversary in 2027 in a grand manner.

The Federal Minister also noted that the Higher Education Commission will establish Iqbal Chairs in universities across the country. He introduced the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ program, designed to elevate the nation’s intellectual pursuits.
