Hong Kong: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will embark on a two-day visit to Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of People’s Republic of China, starting Thursday. The key purpose of the visit is to participate in the signing ceremony for the Convention on the establishment of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed).
According to Radio Pakistan, during his visit, Senator Dar will sign the International Organization for Mediation Convention and address the ceremony on the 30th. In addition to the signing, he is scheduled to engage in several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.
Pakistan is committed to promoting global peace and security through adherence to the UN Charter and international law. The country views mediation, diplomacy, dialogue, and international cooperation as essential elements of this approach.
As a founding member of the International Organization for Mediation, Pakistan supports its aims and objectives, recognizing the organization’s potential in mediating and peacefully resolving international disputes.
