DPM Ishaq Dar Engages in Key UN Activities in New York

New york: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, is set to engage in a series of significant activities in New York today. He will represent Pakistan at the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Ministerial Segment, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech on behalf of his country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister's agenda includes a meeting with the UN Secretary General and the President of the UN General Assembly. These meetings underscore Pakistan's active participation in international diplomacy and collaboration on global issues.

Additionally, Senator Ishaq Dar will attend a ceremony for the Signing of the Agreement on the Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Conservation and beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement). This engagement reflects Pakistan's commitment to international agreements on environmental conservation.

Ishaq Dar is on a week-long visit to the United States, where he will oversee key events in the UN Security Council during Pakistan's presidency for the month of July. His participation highlights Pakistan's role in global governance and its efforts to engage with the international community on pressing issues.
