Karachi, March 28, 2017 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has asked K-Electric, HESCO and Sukkur Electric Supply Company to avoid any scheduled and unscheduled shut down during ongoing examinations of secondary classes across the province so that the students may do their papers in comfort.
This he said while talking to media here in Sindh Assembly Building on today. He said that uninterrupted supply of electricity could help the students to attend their paper with peace of mind and he also directed to the administrations of examination centres to ensure proper drinking water and other facilities at examination centres.
He said that the examinations for class 9th and 10th had started from today and to curb unfair means and cheating in exams, vigilance teams had been constituted under CM Sindh special directives and not only he (Minister Education) but CM Sindh might pay surprise visits to the examinations centres and if anyone caught cheating, he would not be spared, no matter how much influential one might be.
He told, ‘This year, extra ordinary measures have been taken to discourage and eradicate cheating in exams and in this regard CM Sindh has written an open letter to all stakeholders to take them to curb cheating in exams, adding that now it is the turn of the parents, teachers and members of the civil society to help the government to stop the menace of the cheating that is destroying our future generations’. The Minister Education Jam Mehtab also advised the students to focus on their studies and do hard work to get good grades in exams and to shun unfair means and cheating in exams as well.
