Chengdu: A dinner was held in Chengdu in honor of President Asif Ali Zardari hosted by the Party Secretary of the Communist Party of China Wang Xiao Hui. President Zardari attended the event along with First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Other notable attendees included Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Beijing Khalil Hashmi, and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the event, President Zardari expressed his gratitude to Wang Xiao Hui for the warm hospitality and remarked on the special relationship his family has shared with China, spanning four generations. In his remarks, the Chinese host thanked Pakistan for its support during the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. A violin performance of the patriotic song “Dil Dil Pakistan” was also featured during the dinner and was highly appreciated by the audience.
