Lahore, April 21, 2014 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that cost efficient power is our top priority and government departments must work hard to complete all the power projects in time. PM appreciated the role of China in taking keen interest to help Pakistan resolve energy crises. He was chairing a meeting on energy and related infrastructure today. Prime Minister was briefed about progress on different coal fired power projects in the country. He directed to fast track the process.
The briefing was attended by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaque Dar, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Prof. Ahsan Iqbal. Minister for Railways apprised the Prime Minister about railways ability to provide uninterrupted supply of coal from Port Qasim to different projects.
