Lahore: Renowned trainer and life coach Syed Samar Ahmad has stated that, along with education, the proper upbringing and grooming of children is indispensable in the present era. Speaking with Radio Pakistan correspondent Qasim Bukhari at the 39th Lahore International Book Fair, held at the Expo Centre Lahore, he highlighted the importance of understanding children's interests and the factors leading to disengagement or lack of motivation in today's fast-evolving world.According to Radio Pakistan, Syed Samar emphasized the significance of strengthening the emotional bond between parents and children. He believes that developing a strong emotional attachment facilitates the process of guidance and grooming, making it more effective. He also pointed out that educational and training content for children should be comprehensive, simple, concise, and engaging to create a positive impact. While discussing his book 'Jug Jug Jeevan,' Syed Samar mentioned that it is, to his knowledge, the first and only Urdu book that covers all aspects of a happy and successful married life. He stressed the importance of parents being educated and trained themselves before focusing on the upbringing of children, as this ensures effective and correct parenting.Syed Samar further explained that understanding the developmental needs of children requires parents to first comprehend the principles and responsibilities of parenting. This understanding is crucial for providing proper upbringing. He concluded by stating that bringing positive change in children essentially means bringing positive change in parents first.
