Armed Forces of Pakistan Repel Unprovoked Attack by Afghan Taliban and Indian-Backed Terrorists

Peshawar: Armed Forces of Pakistan decisively repelled an unprovoked attack by the Afghan Taliban and the Indian-sponsored group Fitna-al-Khwarij along the Pak-Afghan border last night.

According to Radio Pakistan, over two hundred Taliban and affiliated terrorists have been neutralized, with a significantly higher number of injuries reported based on credible intelligence and damage assessments. During the overnight skirmishes, twenty-three Pakistani soldiers lost their lives while defending the nation’s territorial integrity, with twenty-nine more sustaining injuries.

The operations included precision strikes and physical raids targeting Taliban camps, terrorist training facilities, and support networks operating from Afghan territory. These efforts aimed to dismantle elements linked to Fitna al Khwarij, Fitna al Hindustan, and Daesh, while ensuring minimal collateral damage and civilian protection.

As a result of these operations, multiple Taliban locations along the border were destroyed, with twenty-one hostile positions on the Afghan side being temporarily captured. Several terrorist training camps, used for planning and facilitating attacks against Pakistan, were rendered inoperative.

The ISPR reported extensive infrastructural damage to Taliban posts, camps, headquarters, and support networks, ranging from tactical to operational depths. The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain committed to protecting the territorial integrity and the safety of the nation’s people, with an unwavering resolve against threats to national security.

The ISPR emphasized Pakistan’s preference for constructive diplomacy over violence but underscored the nation’s intolerance for the use of Afghan soil in terrorism against Pakistan. The provocation coincided with the visit of the Taliban Foreign Minister to India, a noted sponsor of regional terrorism.

In the interest of regional peace and security, Pakistan has urged the Taliban Government to take immediate and verifiable actions to neutralize terrorist groups operating from their territory. Pakistan remains steadfast in defending its people and neutralizing terror threats if necessary.

The ISPR called on the Taliban Government to prioritize peace, prosperity, and development for the Afghan people, cautioning against irresponsible actions. The incident highlights Pakistan’s concerns regarding the Taliban Government’s facilitation of terrorists, potentially destabilizing the region in collaboration with India. Pakistan remains resolute in its mission to eliminate terrorism originating from Afghanistan.
