APHC Urges International Community to Address Kashmir Dispute

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has categorically stated that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory.

According to Radio Pakistan, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said the remarks made in New Delhi’s joint press conference were a blatant violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions. The spokesman urged the United Nations, the OIC, and the international community to take immediate notice of India’s illegal occupation, human rights abuses, and demographic engineering, and to play an effective role in ensuring the Kashmiri people’s UN-recognized right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has said that since the abrogation of the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, thousands of Kanals of land have been handed over to outsiders. Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, she said New Delhi’s claims of development in the territory ring hollow, as local residents continue to lose land, jobs, and resources, while non-locals reap the benefits.
