APHC-AJK pays glowing tributes to Kashmiri martyrs

Srinagar, April 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) convened a conference “Martyrs and right to self-determination” in Islamabad, today, which was chaired by Ghulam Mohammad Safi and Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Ali Chishti was the chief guest.

Rich tributes were paid to martyrs and it was resolved that the liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion. The conference reiterated that the people of Kashmir would continue to focus on the relevant resolutions of UN Security Council for the realization of right to self-determination. It lauded the communiqué of OIC Summit that not only reiterated its support to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and condemned gross violation of human rights but also made it clear that Kashmiris’ struggle could not be equated with terrorism.

The conference thanked President of Pakistan and Prime Minister’s advisor on Foreign Affairs for their unwavering support to Kashmiris rights in Istanbul conference. The conference urged the international community to take notice of the unprecedented violations of human rights in occupied Kashmir. It urged media to highlight to ongoing repression let loose by Indian occupation forces. The conference condemned Indian efforts of demographic changes to reduce Muslim majority of the occupied territory.

Those who addressed the conference were Shaheena Dar, Deputy Speaker, AJK, Professor Maqsood Jafri, Barrister Afzal Hussain, Dr Naseema Jogezai, Sagheer Chughtai, Member, Kashmir Council, Amara Rabbani, Professor Mehboob, Athar Masood Wani and APHC leader, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Ishtiaq Hameed, Advocate Pervez Ahmad, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mirza Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Abdul Majeed Malik, Abdul Hameed Lone, Khadim Hussain, Saiyyed Abdullah Gilani, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Javed Iqbal Butt, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob, Mohammad Sultan Butt, Imtiaz Iqbal Wani and Rafiq Ahmad Dar.
